FFW Pathetic Reminder
FFW Pathetic Reminder is a Google Chrome extension designed to help users stay productive and focused by reminding them when they visit websites that waste their time. Inspired by the "Far From Weak" YouTube channel, this extension provides an audible reminder to shake users awake and make them question whether they truly want to visit that page or if it's just their dopamine-fried brain seeking instant gratification. With the aim of fostering productivity and discipline, this extension serves as a helpful tool in curbing online distractions.
The extension currently supports popular websites such as YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and a few adult websites (although these have not been fully tested). The developer plans to add more supported websites in the future and welcomes suggestions from users. It's important to note that the reminders generated by the extension do not contain obscenities and are intended to be a form of "tough love" rather than insults.
In terms of upcoming features, the developer has planned to include a drop-down user interface, a customizable site list, a mute button, and more lines. However, the implementation of these features is dependent on the developer's ability to work with JavaScript.
